1 Housing (rent housing in Copenhagen, Denmark) (Copenhagen, Denmark hotel)

Type of housing:
A room exchange

Arranged by:
Host university

If returning, I would choose:
A room exchange
Why? That is the best way to get to know other students and make friends. Plus, the locations of some of their residences are great!

3 Academic

Course recommendations:
Honestly, the classes weren't too organized. In the classes I took, they were filled with international students. That's fine because I met a lot of great people, but with only maybe 5 Danish students per class, it was hard to meet and interact with local students. But I guess that's what the Uni bars are for!

Family

Other sources of funding:
Personal savings
I had to pay my normal tuition fees.

Work opportunities
It was not legal for me to work.

Personal spending habits:
Copenhagen is an expensive city, but I'm from New York City so I really didn't notice much of a difference. I strongly recommend drinking at home first before going out because it is much cheaper to buy alcohol at the supermarket than in bars/cafes.

6 Additional information

I wish I had known ...
I wish I had known how much opportunity there is for travel. I would have brought more money and better luggage. I also wish I knew that the school had amazing computer facilities. I brought my laptop and didn't use it once! Also buddy up with a group in your classes and copy the textbooks - they are very expensive!

In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
