Description:
Högskolan Dalarna is one of Sweden's newer universities situated in Dalarna, one of Sweden's most picturesque provinces, north-west of Stockholm. The University currently has about 8000 students coming from all parts of the country. Approximately half of them study in Falun, the administrative capital of the province, while the rest study in the neighbouring town of Borlänge.

Use a credit card for buy train tickets from internet, they are less expensive; Hemkopt is the more expensive supermarket, Lidl is the less; in library there are the course's books, so you can't buy them (in my opinion academic books are expensive...

I recommend have some money saved, choose to live in a student building instead of in an apartment, you will have more contact with people from everywhere. Bring warm clothes in winter, but don't expect to freeze, you can stand the weather :)

It is worth to learn local language, despite the local residents' ability to speak English. Traveling is rather expensive so better to save as much money as possible before going as it might be difficult to find a job in host university town.

Temperature is extremely cold, so bring warm clothes with you. It is better to have some basic knowledge about Swedish language.

Being from North America the opportunity to travel within Europe at reasonable rates was very rewarding. Cheap flights out of Stockholm make travel easy and cost effective on discount airlines.
