Go skiing in February (day trips are very inexpensive). Travel outside Nice to enjoy proper sandy beaches. Make an extra effort to meet the local people, they are generally quite friendly.

You can always contact me for advise and if you want to travel by train... buy the 15-25 discountcard. This can save you a lot of money. Also, for girls, do not go out in the town alone, have people to accompany you because the old Nice does not...
