Course: Undergraduate maruca iNote 's
overall rating:

2.6/4
University of origin: Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy
Country of nationality: Italy
Area of study: Language
Program: Erasmus
Period abroad: February 2002 - July 2002
1 Housing (rent housing in Graz, Austria) (Graz, Austria hotel)

Type of housing:
On campus

Arranged by:
Host university

If returning, I would choose:
Apartment/House
Why? I would go in an apartment where local people live, because where I lived there were only foreigners as me, and we hardly spoke German. We used to talk in English, as many of them couldn't German. That disappointed me a lot. Second I would like to live in a real house, as the student dorm where I was, was quite similar to the one I live in in Italy, and I'd like to experience something different.

3 Academic

Course recommendations:
move very quick and start thinking of them as soon as possible, from your home country possibly. Then, attendance is very important for some courses and teachers give a strong attention to your presence and to your interaction during the course. Be active!

5 Expenses

Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant

Other sources of funding:
Personal savings

Work opportunities
I didn't want/need to work.

Personal spending habits:
food, generally costs more and then as a foreigner I didn't know where to go to spend less. Housing, in Modena I did not pay for housing, as I got a local grant which used to give me money and house for free. Nightlife was cheaper as you almost do not have to pay for entering disco-pubs, beer is incredibly good and CHEAP and in general we managed on our own for nightlife...

The accessibility of student needs
