I can only recommend the experience of studying abroad. It is a very enriching experience, broadens your cultural awareness and improves your language a lot.

Definitely learning a different language in the country which speaks that language will speed up the process three times faster than trying to learn it in a class room in a country which does not speak the language in which you are learning.

if you prefer a reliable accomodation (new bildig, clean, large, next to University), choose the studenhouse called "Birken Studentenwohnheim".
