Why? The independence and the troubles regarding it, is something i was hopping to live thru this experience. Negotiate, was stressful but cooking and cleaning have proven to be very easy.

Students interact with the local community without much university involvement

Travel, Activities, Nightlife take/s place both within and outside of the university/student environment

Course recommendations:
You must point out first what your main objectives are. If you are planning to learn the language, or if you are planning to study something specifically or if you are interested in the University. If you want to speak the language, choose classes where you can socialize more, if you want to specialize on that subject this place has the best, do it and try to see why, and if you are interest in the University, try to know it all. Be sure that mixing these objectives is good but that having a mainly objective is necessary.

Personal spending habits:
Euro makes everything expensive. The convertion to real is 2,80 reais buy 1 euro, so everything seems much much expensive. The night clubs were good and actually less expensive that the ones in Brazil, maybe because there are more, and the food is not that expensive to, if you know how to cook.

I wish I had known ...
Acctually I think that the less you know the more you will improve while in an experience like it. I don´t have any regrets by now.
