Description:
The University of Antwerp is unique in its form. It consists of three university institutions, the uniqueness arising from the fact that two of its three 'arms' have an entirely different history and background: the Universitair Centrum Antwerpen (RUCA) is state owned, whereas UFSIA (Universitaire Faculteiten Sint-Ignatius te Antwerpen) is a private university, founded by the Jesuit fathers. The third arm is the pluralistic Universitaire Instelling Antwerpen (UIA). Both UFSIA and RUCA were originally founded in 1852 and acquired university status in 1965.

It was one of the best time of my life. When you live abroad you really push yoursel up to a better life. You have more energy for everything, and you learn to share it with other people.

Good teaching methods and good teachers. The city is not that big and locals don't get really involved in the student life.

I would recommend to stay in a student residence, because you never feel alone. Moreover, you should look for a residence in the city centre and not outside of Antwerp (like in Wilrijk) because most of the student life is taking place in the centr...
