Living there with not too much money will teach you how to survive in non-ordinary conditions. You'll experience that you can have a lot of fun even if you don't move a lot from home, and that you can eat decent food spending less than you thought...

Although you can survive without norwegian, it would definitely be better if you pick up the language.

If you want to go to Norway, it is better having a grant, that helps you to cover up most of the expenses. otherwise you have to be sure to have a proper ammount of savings. The Erasmus grant is almost nothing.

of course i have no idea how this university is during a normal schoolyear, i only took a summer course, but i meet incredible people over there, from 98 different countries; I made some really really good friends for life. It was almost too good...
