Why? my professor arranged accomodations for us at the University of Bath, and we ended up at the medical school dorms, which were across town from the main campus. We had to share these with medical students who were in the middle of exams, and they got annoyed with our noise and our frequent late nights.

Student life dominates the city

Travel, Nightlife take/s place mostly outside the university/student environment

Activities take/s place both within and outside of the university/student environment

Course recommendations:
We only took business courses, and compared to the way we learned in the US, there was so much less interaction in the classroom. The professors basically lectured the entire time, and there was no application of material. I think that is just the way things are taught in the UK though (according to my friends who go to school there).

Personal spending habits:
Things in England are more expensive than in the States. In addition, I went out more than I normally do, and I ate out more than I normally do.

I wish I had known ...
I wish I thought more about the size of the group that I went with. I would have had more interaction if there were fewer people in my group from the states, which would have been nice.
