The town is quite nice, too small, but ok. Reaching Aber is quite complicate (from Liverpool it takes 4 hours and you heve to change trains 3 times!!)

Generally, it is quite difficult and time-consuming travelling to/from Aberystwyth. Cheap flights from Madrid to Liverpool.

Best way to get there is to fly to Manchester/Birmingham and then go on by train or National Express buses. Look on the homepage which is really good and stuffed with information-www.aber.ac.uk.

Aberystwyth is quite far from everything in Great Britain,so if you like to travel be ready to have an added difficulty:the distance from the other cities or places of England. Anyway the place is beautyful, especially for the presence of the sea....
